ODWP TESTING:  PAML will administer the On Demand Writing Prompt (ODWP) test for grades 5-6-7-8 on Tuesday, November 15th.  

YRBS Field Trip:  Mr. Hathaway will be taking a group of YRBS students for a retreat day at the Morrisville VFW on Thursday, November 17th.  These middle level students will review and analyze the youth risk behavior survey, and develop three top concerns and strengths as part of the YRBS grant requirement..  Students will depart PAML at 8:00am and return at 2:30pm.  

PAML DANCE:  The first PAML Dance of the school year will be held on Friday, November 18th, from 7:00-9:30pm in the PA Cafeteria for students in grades 6-7-8.  PAML students may invite one guest from another school, and they must arrive at the dance together.  Students are required to sign up their friend in the PAML Office with Mrs. Herman prior to November 18th.

8TH GRADE TOUR OF GMTCC:  Jessica Dambach, PAML Guidance Counselor, will be taking PAML’s 8th grade class to Green Mountain Technology & Career Center (GMTCC) in Hyde Park on Tuesday, November 22nd, from 8:45am-12:15pm for a tour of GMTCC technical programs available to them when they enter high school.  Students will return to PAML in time for lunch.

MANDATORY WINTER SPORTS INFO MEETING:  The Mandatory Winter Sports Student & Parent Info Meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 22nd, at 5:30pm in the auditorium.  This meeting will be for students who wish to register for basketball and cross country skiing.

A WORLD OF DIFFERENCE presentation will be held for parents to learn their role in helping to prevent name calling, bullying and cyberbullying on Tuesday, November 29th, 5:30-7:00pm in the PA Library.  Parents will explore the ways in which this training program empowers young people through peer-to-peer education to facilitate positive social change in their school community, and identify strategies for parents to support their children’s efforts to actively promote an inclusive school community in which all individuals are respected and valued.  

TOYS FOR TOTS:  Now through Monday, December 12th, PAML will be collecting new, unwrapped toys and stocking stuffers for children around Lamoille County.  Please bring your donations to the box located in the PAML Lobby no later than December 12th.  Last year they were able to distribute toys to 353 children in our area.  (Some examples of items needed are socks, hair accessories for girls, Matchbox cars and card games.)
