Talent Show and Winter Carnival 2016

PAML Talent Show and Winter Carnival - 2016
We had a fabulous day on Feb. 19, 2016. The first event was the Annual Talent Show where very brave students shared their talent with the whole Middle Level.  This is entirely organized by the Student Ambassadors with Ms. Grossman supporting them, and this year it was like a well-oiled machine!  From the auditions to the judging, the show went off with-out a hitch.  The judges couldn't determine a 1st, 2nd or 3rd, so we had 3 winners, in no particular order:  Robert playing his guitar, Hayden demonstrating Bo Staff skills, and Marketta belting out a song a cappella.  As you'll see from the photos, there was a lot of other exciting happenings on this day.  What made it possible was the "can do" attitude of the staff and students, and the amazing Safe, Respectful and Responsible behavior on the part of the students!  Mr. Boudreau's Student Leadership class is credited for organizing the events (sorry, no photos!) and the closing ceremonies in the gym!

The audience anxiously awaiting the results!

A little pre-birthday celebration for Mrs. Ludington, after which several
5th graders arrived on the stage to sing Happy Birthday to her in Dutch!!

Non-partisan referees for the Girls vs. Boys Basketball game.
The winners played the faculty, and beat them too!

It all ended with the traditional Tug-of-War!
*Editor's note - I'm having difficulty finding a way for the videos posted on the blog to play on mobile devices.  I'll continue to try to find a fix for that, in the mean time, if you can't view the video, try to log on to a computer.

Goal Setting

On Friday, Feb. 12th, our 7th graders helped our 5th graders with goal setting.  The advice they gave the 5th grade students was invaluable, and the 7th graders learned a lot about their own goal setting process.  Maura Kelly put together this video of the experience.
