Climate Change Picture Books--7th & 8th Grade Science

Upper House science students created unique and professional picture books to show their mastery of understanding about climate change. Students explored themes that included:

  • Individual Responsibility - what can an individual do to make a difference?
  • Community Responsibility - what can a community do to make a difference?
  • Interdependence - loss of habitat, cause and effect, how things/people are connected
  • Justice & Equity Around the World
Along with clever, original narratives, the picture books included science facts and diagrams to teach readers about climate change. Students will be sharing their final books with 5th & 6th graders.

Find the Forks!!!

We have embarked on the Great Fork Finding Adventure!  It seems like a small thing, but the cafeteria loses SO MANY forks each year - and it often comes down to people throwing them in their lunch bags and they end up in the homes of families.  Lots have been located already...kids and teachers alike! Check your drawers at home and send them in (spoons and knives have also been found)!  Thanks!
