PAML e-Registration Help

Electronic Registration Help: On Thursday, September 1, 2016 John Meyer and Karen Weeks will be available to help you with e-registration from 3:00PM - 6:00PM. This is an easier way to "fill out the forms" for your child or children. It is especially helpful when you have more than one child in the school district. We'll have devices set up and will help with your password to the portal.  Come on in, we'll be there to help!!

7/8 Gold & Green Teams will be going on a field trip to Lake Elmore on Thursday, September 1st to participate in team building skills.  Students and teachers will depart PAML at 10:30am and return at 2:40pm.

Of Note:  Graffiti was found in the bathroom near the Library at PAML/PAHS.  We reviewed the situation and determined there was not a need to disrupt the learning environment nor the overwhelmingly positive opening to school.  However, any disrespect toward our facilities and learning environment is a serious matter.  If you have any information about graffiti on the bathroom walls, please notify your principal or other trusted school employee.  Thank you.

No School on Friday, September 2nd and Monday, September 5th in observance of Labor Day.

PAML Picture Day:  Tuesday, September 13th.

Meadow Farms Fundraising Kick-Off:  Thursday, September 15th

School Registration Reminder

Our new E-Registration portal is now available!  This post is a follow-up to a letter and an email you should have received. If you have already completed your Parent Portal Single-Sign-On and E-Registration, THANK YOU!
If you have not created your Parent Portal Single Sign-On account and completed E-Registration, please continue reading.

For those who prefer to fill out the forms via paper, traditional printed "summer packets" can still be mailed home upon request or picked up at the school office. Please call your school to make your request.

E-Registration is accessed through the PowerSchool Parent Portal HERE. If you need your parent username and password, please call your school, email support at lssutech@lssuvt.org or contact Melissa Gillen at 802-888-4541 x5559.  For additional instruction on how to create a Parent Portal Single Sign-On account, please click HERE.

E-Registration will allow parents and guardians to update their student's demographic information, electronically sign parent permissions, and view documents and forms via the PowerSchool Parent Portal. We are certain that you will find this to be a more convenient and faster way to update your family’s information with the school.
Lamoille South Supervisory Union is committed to improving communication with families. We are implementing this system to provide a more accurate, flexible, and cost effective approach to collecting and updating student information. We also hope parents will find this system a more convenient and faster way to communicate with schools.

The Last Week

As usual, the end of year comes fast and furious.  There is SO much to do with a VERY finite end date.  Everyone who works in a school can feel it, the students feel it, and I know that it is felt at home.  There are all kinds of emotions happening, many mixed, bittersweet, and even sad, as well as excited, nervous and genuine happiness!  As I look back at this time, I can't believe I've been fortunate enough to be "in the business" for 33 years!  I started in 1984 and still learn so many new things each year I'm with students, families and teachers.

We'll see some changes next year, including personnel.  Mr. Griffin (Humanities), Ms. Burns (Math) and Ms. Grossman (World Cultures) will all be moving far away from Vermont.  I know I'll miss all three of them and wish them well. We have hired Sarah Hall Magoon for Humanities, Megan Mercier for Math and Laura Nally for a full-time Health/Wellness teacher.  Sarah is coming from Denver, CO, although she is originally from Thetford, VT.  Megan has been teaching in Williamstown, and is a graduate of Peoples Academy.  Laura has been substituting for us since February and is a K-12 Health Educator.

I'm in the office during the summer, with some time out for a break and a work conference.  Please connect with me if needed, by calling Linny (888-1401) or sending me an email at karen.weeks@lssuvt.org.  Report cards will be out during the middle of next week, and there will be a mailing to all Middle Level students in August.

Thank you sincerely for all that you do for the PAML community of learners.   Karen
