Last week students from 7th and 8th grade presented information to the 5th and 6th graders about Digital Citizenship. The older students were fabulous presenters and the younger students loved learning from the students.

Act 46 Self-Evaluation Process Begins: Over the summer, the State Board of Education published draft rules for school districts seeking an alternative to merging under Act 46. This week, the Elmore-Morristown and Stowe school boards met to begin the self-evaluation process required for an “alternative governance structure,” and, in our case, two separate school districts operating collaboratively under the umbrella of the Lamoille South Supervisory Union (LSSU). This process will continue for months to come and, as always, the meetings are open to the public. The LSSU Board will continue the self-evaluation process at their next meeting on November 30, 2016. Elmore-Morristown and LSSU minutes and agendas can be found on the new Elmore-Morristown District website at: https://sites.google.com/a/lssuvt.org/emuu/school-board

7/8 Gold & Green Teams will be going on a field trip to Lake Elmore on Thursday, September 1st to participate in team building skills. Students and teachers will depart PAML at 10:30am and return at 2:40pm.
Of Note: Graffiti was found in the bathroom near the Library at PAML/PAHS. We reviewed the situation and determined there was not a need to disrupt the learning environment nor the overwhelmingly positive opening to school. However, any disrespect toward our facilities and learning environment is a serious matter. If you have any information about graffiti on the bathroom walls, please notify your principal or other trusted school employee. Thank you.
No School on Friday, September 2nd and Monday, September 5th in observance of Labor Day.
PAML Picture Day: Tuesday, September 13th.

School Registration Reminder
Our new E-Registration portal is now available! This post is a follow-up to a letter and an email you should have received. If you have already completed your Parent Portal Single-Sign-On and E-Registration, THANK YOU!
If you have not created your Parent Portal Single Sign-On account and completed E-Registration, please continue reading.
For those who prefer to fill out the forms via paper, traditional printed "summer packets" can still be mailed home upon request or picked up at the school office. Please call your school to make your request.
E-Registration is accessed through the PowerSchool Parent Portal HERE. If you need your parent username and password, please call your school, email support at lssutech@lssuvt.org or contact Melissa Gillen at 802-888-4541 x5559. For additional instruction on how to create a Parent Portal Single Sign-On account, please click HERE.
E-Registration will allow parents and guardians to update their student's demographic information, electronically sign parent permissions, and view documents and forms via the PowerSchool Parent Portal. We are certain that you will find this to be a more convenient and faster way to update your family’s information with the school.
Lamoille South Supervisory Union is committed to improving communication with families. We are implementing this system to provide a more accurate, flexible, and cost effective approach to collecting and updating student information. We also hope parents will find this system a more convenient and faster way to communicate with schools.

PAML - 2016-17 Here We Come
![]() |
PAML Office |
Yesterday a letter was mailed to all of our families with information pertaining to the forms process this year. Most of the forms are now accessible via your PowerSchool Account. The letter explains all of this to you, especially if you don't have an account set up yet. This will make things easier for you, we hope, as you'll be able to enter information for one child, and then if it's the same for another student, you can just accept it, rather than filling it out multiple times. Additionally, from here on out, you'll be able to review and accept, rather than having to complete the information each year. And if changes occur during the year, you can just update! If you don't have access to a device to do this, and you want paper copies, just call Linny or Megan at 888-1401. OR - come to the Drop In Hours for e-registration Support on Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2016 from 4:00 - 7:30! We'll have computers available and I'll be here along with John Meyer, our District Technology Director and we'll help you get set up.
I hope you are as excited about the upcoming school year as I am! We see so much growth in Middle Level and the students are so much fun to be around during these years of their lives! Please be in touch if you have questions.
